Our goal to provide a safe and supportive environment for anyone, from beginners to established athletes, looking to increase their overall strength in a non-intimidating space. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all fitness because we know everyone coming to us has different needs, goals and objectives. COACHING

Nicholas Pasquariello is the owner of Cedar Street Barbell, a current member of the USA Powerlifting Organization, and a USAPL Club Coach. After spending years in commercial gyms with no strength programs and a “one-size-fits-all” model, he learned that strength results come on an individualized basis with an athlete's individual goals in mind. His love and passion for powerlifting begun after seeing a huge increase in not only his strength and mobility, but also his overall self-confidence while under the wing of his coach at North Barbell, located in North Philly. Through the support and guidance of the North Barbell community, Nick began competing as well as earning his coaching certification. 

Realizing how powerlifting could not only change his life for the better but the lives of others, he decided to take the leap and open up Cedar Street Barbell in May of 2018. Coach Nick's goal is to make the sport of powerlifting more approachable and less intimidating for both men and women, while also helping members achieve their own strength training goals.

Membership Options

Membership at Cedar Street Barbell is on a monthly, recurring basis with full access and unlimited visits to our studio and equipment during open hours. We welcome both experienced members as well as new members who are looking for an individualized training program. Our Monthly Membership package is an auto-renewing, monthly membership for all of our Powerlifting members. Everyone will receive:

  • Individualized programming based on your performance and fitness goals

  • Semi-private training

  • Unlimited visits during open hours

  • Coaching at any meet within 25 miles of Philadelphia

One-On-One Technical Training

If you’re looking for technical personal training sessions, Cedar Street Barbell offers one-on-one coaching with a focus on either squat, bench press or deadlift. Each intensive session lasts one hour in our Port Richmond studio and will cover the proper form, technique and execution needed in powerlifting. Once you purchase a session, we’ll contact you to schedule a date/time to come in and train!
