“I've trained with Coach Nick for over a year now, first at North Barbell (which has closed - tears), and now at CSB. I started out as a total newb, but have made such good progress that I would almost consider myself addicted. Coach Nick is great with beginners as well as with more advanced lifters, and the gym itself is great, with its kitchen and full bathroom with shower. It's in an old factory building that has a great atmosphere, and I love working out there. The equipment is top notch and Nick really takes the time to listen to your goals so that he can put together the right program for you.
I would especially tell folks who want to try powerlifting but think they're not the "powerlifting type" to come give CSB a visit. It's a very welcoming community.”
“I can't thank Nick enough for the opportunity to come in and get some hands on experience in powerlifting. His gym is clean with new equipment and he is very attentive, answering any questions you have. I have been lifting consistently for years and I can say that in one Saturday afternoon that my squat has improved immensely. He was able to look over my technique and fix my form for better mobility while addressing the pain/tightness I previously experienced. This is no Instagram challenge and no muscle head screaming, just pure strength training. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve their form, posture, and overall strength.”
“I have been lifting/training for years in conventional gyms until I found CSB. Hands down one of the best strength gyms, such a great environment with a positive community of members. Coach Nick really knows his stuff and personalized each workout for my goals. No cookie cutter training. Very laid back and never have to wait for equipment (which is competition equipment for the serious lifters out there). Only great things to say about this place!”
“I went to Nick's free (yes, FREE) squat class and you have to go! It'll help you if you're an experienced weightlifter or just starting out. It's great for people who are into power lifting or not. I am not a power lifter, but the class was incredibly helpful in helping learn proper technique to prevent injury, maximize strength, and work on skills to help muscle recovery. Nick really knows his stuff and makes sure that you walk away from he class with the proper knowledge and skills to lift. If I could give a 6 star review I would.”
